With the aspiration for a comprehensive breakthrough, the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress opened the journey to turn this province into a dynamic center of the Central Highlands - South Central region, towards green growth and sustainable development by 2030.

On the morning of October 10, at the Army Academy (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat), the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 officially opened.

Attending and directing the congress were Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh . The congress was attended by 498 official delegates, representing more than 124,000 party members in Lam Dong province.

In his opening speech, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized: During the preparation for the Congress, Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee received close attention, direction and guidance from the Politburo , the Secretariat and central agencies. The documents were carefully prepared, fully absorbing the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the congresses of the affiliated Party Committees.

According to the Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, in the context of the rapidly changing world and the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Party Committees and people of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong have united and made efforts to overcome difficulties and effectively implement the Party's resolutions. The province has maintained political and social stability, creating a premise for sustainable economic development.

Lam Dong's economy continues to grow, the scale and quality of the economy are improved. The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved, the great national unity bloc is consolidated, affirming the leadership role of the Party in all fields.

Outstanding achievements in the past term

Presenting a summary report on socio-economic tasks for the 2020-2025 term, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi affirmed that the results achieved in the past term demonstrated the steady progress of the Party Committee, government and people of the whole province.

According to the draft document of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the province identified the goal: Promoting the strength of great solidarity, arousing the aspiration for development, renewing strategic thinking, effectively organizing the implementation of resolutions, creating a foundation for modern production forces.

10 key goals of Lam Dong in the 2025 - 2030 term

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Lam Dong province sets 10 key goals for fast and sustainable socio-economic development.

The province strives to maintain an average GRDP growth rate of 10 - 10.5%/year, shifting the economic structure towards modernization, in which services account for 39 - 40%, industry - construction 33%, agriculture 29%. The digital economy is expected to contribute 25 - 30% of GRDP, labor productivity increases 6.5 - 7.5%/year.

By 2030, GRDP per capita will reach 6,700 - 7,500 USD, the whole province will have about 33,000 operating enterprises, of which the private sector contributes about 78% of GRDP. State budget revenue will increase by an average of 10 - 11%/year.

Lam Dong aims to have 89% of trained workers, of which 40% have degrees and certificates; effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction programs, striving to have basically no poor households by 2030.

With specific goals and long-term vision, Lam Dong aims to become a dynamic and comprehensively developed locality, worthy of being the new growth pole of the Central Highlands - South Central region and the whole country.
