In Turkey , A News agency reported that the 18-year-old suspect live-streamed the knife attack at a tea garden, on the grounds of a mosque in the city of Eskisehir, on social media before being subdued and arrested by police.

Seven people were injured in the incident, according to several media outlets.

According to the Eskisehir Durum news site, the attacker was dressed as a "gamer", wearing a black hat, a mask, a bulletproof vest and an axe on his belt.

Meanwhile, the Cumhuriyet daily reported that the suspect did not scream or reveal any motive for the attack. The newspaper said that the suspect may have been influenced by violent games.

In the UK , a stabbing incident targeted an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman in Leicester Square, central London, a popular tourist destination.

The New Arab newspaper reported that the stabbed girl was in serious but not life-threatening condition.

Police have arrested the suspect and said there are no other suspects involved. The victims were taken to hospital and their condition is currently unknown.

The incident comes exactly two weeks after a knife attack in Southport, northwest England, left three girls dead and eight other children injured, along with two adults. A British-born teenager has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

The stabbing spree sparked riots across Britain, after false online rumours that the attacker was a Muslim refugee.
