On October 15, Vietnam Television Film Center (VFC) held a press conference to launch a new political film called "The Borderline" in Hanoi.

The event featured a cast of veteran actors and famous names known as "real power" of the small screen such as: People's Artist Trung Anh, People's Artist Trong Trinh, Meritorious Artist Pham Cuong, Manh Truong, Hong Diem, Bao Anh, Tien Loc...

This is the third time VFC has cooperated with the Supreme People's Procuracy in the production process, following the success of "Sinh Tu" (2019) and "Journey of Justice" (2022). Sharing at the press conference, director, Meritorious Artist Mai Hien said that the professional coordination and support in human and material resources from the Supreme People's Procuracy have contributed to creating a quality television work.

The director also emphasized that because this is a political film related to the judiciary, the film crew "chosen the right person to entrust their gold", selecting actors who not only have good looks but also have good acting skills and the ability to handle dialogue. Dialogues related to the judiciary require precision, different from everyday dialogue.

The film is in collaboration with the Supreme People's Procuracy.

“The Line” explores a hot and topical story about the work of preventing and combating corruption, group interests and the degeneration of power in the context of reform and streamlining the apparatus. The main setting of the film revolves around Viet Dong province during the period of merger and personnel arrangement, a time considered "sensitive" and full of challenges, forcing local leaders to choose between compromise or confrontation.

The film explores many "hot" topics that breathe life.

The film is expected to escape the dryness and stereotypes often seen in political films. “The Line” promises to reflect the breath of contemporary life, where the appointment, rotation, and arrangement of personnel are not only administrative procedures but also a measure of ethics, transparency, and decide the future of the system. The film is predicted to bring exciting and dramatic moments to television audiences.
