To promptly share the difficulties with people in flood-hit areas, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society decided to continue allocating more than 5.7 billion VND in emergency relief, including cash and essential goods, specifically: Bac Ninh province 800 million VND and 120,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Cao Bang 800 million VND and 96,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Tuyen Quang 600 million VND and 72,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Thai Nguyen 800 million VND and 240,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Lang Son 500 million VND and 72,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Lao Cai 500 million VND and 72,000 P&G water filter powder packets; Thanh Hoa 200 million VND and 31,440 P&G water filter powder packets; Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces each received support of 300 million VND.
The funding source is taken from the "Join hands to overcome floods" campaign launched by the Central Association, through account H2025 at Vietcombank .
On October 10 and 11, a delegation from the Vietnam Red Cross Society led by Vice President Vu Thanh Luu and representatives of Vietcombank directly went to Thai Nguyen province to visit, encourage and give relief gifts to households severely affected by natural disasters.
