(Dan Tri) - After about half a day of the Green Bay ship capsized, 11 people were rescued and 38 bodies were found. Nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers and many fishermen are still persistently searching for the remaining victims.

On the night of July 19 - early morning of July 20, functional forces of Quang Ninh province persistently carried out rescue work in the capsized ship QN 7105 in Ha Long Bay.

According to Dan Tri reporter at 1am on July 20, at Bai Chay Lighthouse Port, about 6-7 ambulances were on standby at this location, with their doors open to welcome the unfortunate victims who were rescued to shore.

Updated at 2am, authorities have rescued 11 people, recovered 38 bodies, the rest are still missing. Ship QN-7105 departed from Ha Long International Passenger Port to visit Ha Long Bay with 48 passengers, all Vietnamese, and 5 crew members.

Rescue work was deployed from the early afternoon of July 19, with the participation of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard, Quang Ninh Provincial Police, the Ministry of Public Security ...

At the scene of the accident, about 30 divers were mobilized to participate in the search, including forces: Mine Rescue - TKV, Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department; Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Quang Ninh Provincial Police); Ha Long Bay Management Board...

The water task force is also actively reviewing, surveying, and quickly deploying measures to search for all victims during the night. According to the direction plan, the forces will determine the flow to narrow down the search area.

In total, nearly 1,000 people from various units and more than 100 vehicles participated in the search for the missing victims. Many local fishermen who are familiar with the waterways also joined the search.

On the evening of July 19, immediately after receiving information that a tourist boat had sunk in the Ti Top island area, Quang Ninh province, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directly went to direct the rescue work.

He directed the forces to "give the highest priority to rescuing the survivors and ensuring the search for the missing as soon as possible", but also to ensure absolute safety for the rescue forces.
