Talking to Dan Tri reporter about the school's supposed benchmark scores spreading on social networks, a representative of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine affirmed that the information about the school's benchmark scores shared on many forums is not accurate.
Up to now, the school has not announced the benchmark scores for 2025. Information on the school's benchmark scores will be announced according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
"The school's benchmark scores are expected to be announced at 5:00 p.m. on August 22," a representative of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine added.
In 2024, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will have a benchmark score of 21.35 to 26.57, in which the medical major has the highest benchmark score.
In the announcement on August 20 from the Ministry of Education and Training sent to schools, the announcement schedule for the first round of benchmark scores will be postponed to 5:00 p.m. on August 22 when 4 more virtual filtering rounds are added, ending virtual filtering at 12:30 p.m. on August 22.
The reason for the extended virtual filtering time is that the number of candidates registering for university and college admission is greater, and it is also the first year that colleges participate in the admission process, there is no more early admission, and all admission methods in the first round are used.
The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that schools focus on carefully reviewing all data, admission methods, and situations in the context of a lot of candidate data being used for admission to ensure that no candidates are missed or incorrectly admitted during the admission process; and limit the handling of errors in the admission process.
At the same time, schools need to carefully calculate options and propose appropriate virtual ratios to avoid creating large virtual numbers, affecting the recruitment sources of other training institutions as well as recruiting beyond the school's quota and training capacity.
