From now on I can be a "gentleman" for the rest of my life.
- How does Thu Quynh feel when she is one of the artists chosen to participate in the parade to welcome A80?
I feel proud, excited and honored to be chosen to represent the Culture - Sports sector to march in this parade. The Youth Theatre has 12 participating artists who have practiced quite thoroughly and are trying to arrange all their work to participate in the best way.
People may think that walking is simple, why do we need to practice so much, but to have 200 people from 1.5m to 1.9m tall walk in the right line, with the right stride size and walk in the same order is not simple, especially when the Culture - Sports block has the most diverse appearance. It is also difficult to arrange each line equally because it is related to titles and achievements, so the comrades in charge of the block have a headache. Not to mention the age range of the artists in the Culture - Sports block is also very wide.
To be able to work and try together, after the first few training sessions, everyone realized the importance of training. Everyone was excited, every time we went to practice, we had fun even though the weather was very changeable, a lot of sun and a lot of rain.
Tuoi Tre Theater also had to encourage artists like Le Khanh, Lan Huong, Ngoc Bich... who are older people to take care of their health. Initially, there was also artist Duc Khue, but after a few rehearsals, unfortunately, he could not participate because his health was not guaranteed. Instead, we can contribute more young faces, maybe you are not famous on television but with your achievements, you deserve to be in that group.

After a period of hard training, I was chosen to be the head of the block, honored to hold the sign of the Culture - Sports block. This is something that makes me very proud and as the young people say now, I can "worship for the rest of my life" (laughs). It is worth mentioning that this position was appointed by the comrades in the army and when I was chosen, the uncles, aunts and brothers and sisters of the block were very supportive.
- Thu Quynh participated in training for the A80 event when her child was still very young, and at a time when Hanoi was changing seasons and the rain and sun were unpredictable, how did she stay healthy?
I jokingly told everyone that comrade Thu Quynh set a goal to lose 2kg but up to this moment she has not lost any weight (laughs) . Just joking, but this is not the time for me to lose weight because if I do not eat enough nutrients and meals, I will not have the energy to exercise. I have to be aware of maintaining my health because it is not easy to march like this. If I am subjective about my health and cannot do this task, I will feel very guilty.
Before joining, my parents texted me: "You're very tired! Bring ginseng and eat well," so I prepared everything. However, I still couldn't help but feel very tired. I'm afraid of crowds. Every time we practiced in Ba Dinh, the groups were packed tightly together, and there were so many people watching that I felt suffocated. Sometimes I had to ask the people around to let me sit down and rest for some fresh air. Luckily, the people supported us enthusiastically, preparing food, drinks, and fans.

I saw my mother in the most beautiful military uniform.
- After you shared a photo of you and your mother in military uniform, many people learned that you were a soldier. How many years have you been in the military?
My mother was born in 1961 and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the army. She has been a Party member for 25 years and has served in the army for 33 years. I always cherish giving my mother a set of photos of her in military uniform because I find her very beautiful in this outfit. My mother is a very patriotic person, an exemplary Party member and is still active in the ward's veterans association. I feel that my mother instilled in me a love of country, I don't know if it was when she was pregnant with me or in life. That love permeates me every day.
Recently, designer Dung Nguyen collaborated with a photographer to do a project "love ao dai, love country" on the occasion of the A80 anniversary, so I texted him to ask for my family to participate.
I must confidently say that I am an absolute patriot and expressed my wish to take a photo series with 3 generations with my mother - a soldier - and my daughter.
The photo series was just taken on the morning of August 25th when it was pouring rain. We had to work very quickly, taking advantage of every minute when the rain stopped to take the photos. The photo series of soldiers my mother took at the Imperial Citadel took less than an hour. I didn’t think the series of photos would be as beautiful as they were. Perhaps because at that time everyone shared the same feelings and spirit of patriotism and pride.
When I invited my mother to join this photoshoot, she was very excited and nervous, eagerly preparing her uniform for several days. She was even happier and happier when my daughter - Tam - was very cooperative during the photoshoot.
