Investigation into a brawl with gunfire that injured one person in Thu Duc

On November 4, Thanh Nien news source confirmed that Thu Duc City Police (HCMC) coordinated with relevant units to investigate a brawl with gunfire that occurred in the area, injuring one person and requiring emergency treatment.

Initial information, the incident happened at 4:00 a.m. on November 2 at a drinking place on B Trung Trac Street, Ward 7 (Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc City).

At that time, a group of 3 people were eating and drinking inside the restaurant when suddenly another group of about 10 young men rushed in and started yelling and attacking them. While the two groups were fighting, these people fired shots.

The incident left at least one victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital with the help of local residents and is in stable condition.

Upon receiving the news, Thu Duc City Police Department's professional teams were present to examine the scene, take witness statements, and extract security camera footage.

On the afternoon of November 4, Thanh Nien news reported that through investigation, the police arrested many people involved and seized two guns for examination. The initial cause may have been a conflict over financial debt.

The suspects detained by the Thu Duc City Police Investigation Agency include Dang Quoc Huy (23 years old), Chau Tuan Kiet (20 years old), Son Nguyen Hoang Minh (23 years old), Ngo Thanh Trung (23 years old, all residing in Thu Duc City) and 6 others to investigate the act of using a gun to shoot another person causing injury and the act of storing weapons.

The victim in the incident was Ms. GTQN (30 years old, living in Thua Thien - Hue province), the owner of the drinking place where the brawl took place. At the time, Ms. N. was sitting at the drinking table with her friends when a group of customers arrived by car. Ms. N. thought the customers were coming to the restaurant so she ran to pick them up. Suddenly, the group pointed guns at her and shot her in the leg. The victim was then taken to Thu Duc City Hospital for emergency treatment. At the time of admission, the bullet was still in the victim's left leg.
