Delegation of Lang Son Provincial Department of Health attended the Vietnam - China Border Health Quarantine Cooperation Conference in 2025

In order to thoroughly grasp and implement the important common perception between the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and the two States of Vietnam and China; continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the Departments of Health of Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and Nanning Customs and Kunming Customs (China) in the work of border health quarantine cooperation between Vietnam and China, well implement the "Border Health Quarantine Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the People's Republic of China" and the "International Health Regulations 2005" and the contents of cooperation on health quarantine signed at the Minutes of the Vietnam - China Border Health Quarantine Cooperation Conference in 2024 held in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, Vietnam, the 2025 Health Quarantine Cooperation Conference was held with the theme " Smart Border Gate - Shared Community Health: High-Quality Development and Health Cooperation public at Vietnam - China border road gates " .

At the conference, representatives of the health sector of Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and Nanning Customs and Kunming Customs (China) exchanged and discussed the epidemic situation in border areas, shared response experiences, and increased mutual learning.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said: Cooperation activities on border health quarantine have helped the Parties proactively prevent and control the epidemic most effectively, contributing to maintaining stable import-export and immigration activities. The practice of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control in the period of 2020-2023 has shown that close coordination, timely information sharing and application of technology in control activities have effectively contributed to preventing epidemic risks; at the same time, it also shows the urgency of building a smart health quarantine model within the framework of smart border gates between the Parties. Mr. Soi also made suggestions and recommendations to Nanning Customs and Chinese Customs and health quarantine agencies to continue to support, share experiences and coordinate closely, soon realize the smart quarantine model, help improve the capacity to protect the health of the people of the two countries, contribute to promoting trade, tourism, and friendly cooperation to develop more and more sustainably.
