On the morning of October 19, the Ministry of Health coordinated with the General Department of Logistics and Technology (Ministry of National Defense) to organize medical examinations, health consultations, free medicine and gifts for meritorious people, poor and near-poor households in Pho Hien ward. Attending the program were Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health; Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Deputy Director and Chief of Staff of the General Department of Logistics and Technology.

At the program, more than 1,000 meritorious people, martyrs' relatives, poor and near-poor households received general examinations, ultrasounds, X-rays, electrocardiograms, health consultations and free medicine from medical staff and doctors from central hospitals. People with serious illnesses were guided and connected to specialized examinations at central hospitals. The working group presented gifts to 50 meritorious people and 50 people from poor and near-poor households with difficult circumstances, each gift worth 1 million VND. In addition, the working group presented 15 sets of computers to Pho Hien ward.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen emphasized that this is an activity showing concern for people with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies.
