After the merger, Bac Ninh province became the land with the richest tourism resources in the North with thousands of historical and cultural relics, folk festivals, traditional craft villages, and diverse and attractive ecological landscapes. This is an important foundation for tourism development, contributing positively to the local socio -economic growth. Over time, authorities at all levels, functional sectors and related units have made great efforts in promoting tourism, gradually affirming the position of Bac Ninh on the Vietnamese tourism map.

Activities: Tourism promotion, organizing conferences and seminars to promote destinations have been actively implemented by the province, attracting a large number of travel businesses, investors and press agencies to participate. Many video clips and articles introducing images of people, culture and tourism products of the province have been widely posted on mass media and digital platforms, creating positive effects. At the same time, functional units organize free tour programs to relics, craft villages, festivals, helping people and tourists understand more deeply about Kinh Bac culture. The province also focuses on building a tourism brand associated with the heritage of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs, Do Temple festival, Lim festival, traditional craft villages such as Phu Lang pottery, Dong Ho paintings...

In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, Bac Ninh province will welcome about 5.4 million visitors, an increase of 30% over the same period in 2024, of which international visitors will reach more than 345 thousand; revenue from tourism business activities in the province will reach more than 4.7 trillion VND.

The province's tourism image rarely appears in national promotional campaigns, has not made a clear impression on social networks or the international market...

Towards professional and sustainable tourism

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Tuan Khoa said: In the coming time, the Department will coordinate to advise on building strategies and projects for comprehensive tourism development, clearly defining the position of tourism in the province's socio-economic development strategy in the period 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Promote brand building, promote the positioning of Bac Ninh Tourism brand. Develop publications, documents, tourism gifts; free tours to introduce and arouse pride in Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac culture. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Thuy (Hanoi University of Culture) - who has many years of experience in tourism training, believes that Bac Ninh possesses very promising heritage resources to become an attractive destination on the Northern tourism map. "To build a tourism brand, the province needs to clearly identify market segments according to each customer group to develop suitable tourism products, avoid spreading resources, ensure efficiency and attractiveness. Actively promote cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, develop product chains associated with local strengths such as the spiritual tourism route Tay Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - Am Vai, experience lychee harvesting in Luc Ngan, discover the craft of making Chu noodles, combine Quan Ho and Ca Tru performances in the original space...", Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Thuy affirmed.

A very important issue is to prioritize the construction and development of unique tourism products to attract visitors. Because if there are no attractive tourism products, no matter how well promoted, visitors will not return. Focus on investing in synchronous tourism infrastructure: parking lots, toilets, quality accommodation facilities, standard hotels, entertainment areas, shopping services. Communication campaigns need to aim at "storytelling tourism" - each heritage, each person, each dish has its own story. When that story is told in modern language, beautiful images, real emotions, visitors will remember and want to experience it. Organize the annual Bac Ninh International Cultural - Tourism Festival, combining tourism, cuisine and trade promotion. This will be a regional-scale event, attracting international visitors, creating a distinct mark for the Bac Ninh tourism brand.
