In response to the question about the preparation of the Vietnamese futsal team for this tournament and the team's goal, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "We have prepared carefully for this tournament with nearly 6 weeks of concentration. We are trying to improve our techniques and tactics and research solutions to confront each team in group D. The goal of the Vietnamese women's futsal team is to aim for the top position in the group."

At 5:30 p.m. on January 15, the reigning champion of the Southeast Asian futsal tournament - the Vietnamese women's futsal team will enter the opening match against host Myanmar. Regarding the opponent in the opening match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang commented: "The Vietnamese women's futsal team met the Myanmar women's futsal team in the recent Southeast Asian tournament, so we have information about the opponent. We also have a solution to counter the Myanmar women's futsal team."

"However, the host team Myanmar currently has a new, experienced coach. Therefore, the Vietnamese women's futsal team also needs to be more cautious, facing changes from the opponent. The new head coach of the Myanmar women's futsal team is the one who led the Myanmar men's futsal team (who drew 1-1 with the Vietnamese men's futsal team at the 2024 Asian futsal tournament). However, the goal of the Vietnamese women's futsal team is still to aim for a victory in the opening match."

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Qualifiers kick off on January 11, 2025, with 18 teams competing. Three teams are exempted from the qualifying round, including the host of the final round - China, and the two finalists of the previous tournament, Japan and Iran.

The 18 teams are divided into four groups, including two groups of four teams (groups B and D), and two groups of five teams (groups A and C). Group A will be played centrally in Thailand, group B in Indonesia, group C in Uzbekistan, and group D in Myanmar. After the qualifying round, each group will select the first and second teams to participate in the final round. Along with that, the third-placed team with the best results will participate in the final round taking place in May 2025.
