Recently, Lao Cai Provincial Police have deployed many creative and effective methods in mobilizing and recovering weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks.

Waterway Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police deployed the model "Exchanging weapons, giving life jackets" in Phuc Khanh commune, to equip life jackets for households along the Chay River.
The center of Phuc Khanh commune is located along both sides of the Chay River, where a part of the people live by fishing. Realizing the importance of ensuring the safety of people participating in traffic on the river, especially during the rainy season, Waterway Police Team No. 1 coordinated with Phuc Khanh Commune Police to propagate and give life jackets to households that voluntarily surrendered weapons and students in the commune.

As soon as it was launched, the program "Exchange weapons, give life jackets" received positive response from the participants.
On October 15 alone, 10 people who voluntarily surrendered their guns were given life jackets. Waterway Police Team No. 1 also gave 15 life jackets to students of Phuc Khanh Kindergarten.
Not only giving out life jackets, the officers and soldiers also propagated to help people understand the dangers of keeping homemade guns in the house; equipped with basic knowledge on ensuring order and safety of waterway traffic; how to wear life jackets, use life buoys and buoys properly and safely...
These efforts not only contribute to ensuring security and order but also raise people's awareness of law observance.
