QTO - At 8:00 a.m. on October 7, Nhat Le Border Guard Station received a report that a worker had an accident while working at sea and requested support. The unit deployed forces and vehicles to bring the fisherman ashore for emergency treatment.

Fisherman Pham Van Minh (born in 1976) was a crew member of the QB-11042-TS ship, owned and captained by Pham Van Thong (born in 1974) in Dong Thuan ward, Quang Tri province, and was engaged in trawling. The ship was operating 2 nautical miles from the Sun Le estuary when crew member Pham Van Minh suffered an accident.

The unit mobilized a working group of 4 officers, soldiers and 1 military medic to approach, provide first aid and bring the victim to shore. The patient has now been transferred to the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi for emergency treatment.
