The museum was established on the basis of the remains of the working building of the Workers' Party of Korea and President Kim Il Sung in the early years of the Party's founding and has been in use since 1970. The museum displays many artifacts and documents about the process of President Kim Il Sung founding the Workers' Party of Korea, as well as leading the establishment and development of the country of North Korea.
The representative of the Museum's Board of Directors introduced to Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc and the Vietnamese delegation the viewpoints, policies, construction and formation process of the Museum, emphasizing that this is an address that the Party and State of North Korea highly respect, considering it a place to display and educate the entire Party and people about the heroic history of the Party and people of North Korea.
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc expressed his gratitude for the detailed and enthusiastic introduction of the Museum's Board of Directors, congratulated the Workers' Party of Korea for leading the Korean people to many important achievements in building and developing the country; affirmed that the information and documents in the Museum will be valuable reference materials for the Communist Party of Vietnam in maintaining the Party's leadership role, researching, designing and building the Museum of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding.
