At the Congress, Comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's Decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, the Politburo agreed to allow Comrade Ho Quoc Dung to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, cease holding the position of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary for the 2025 - 2030 term and related positions so that the Central Committee can carry out the process of introducing and electing the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Pursuant to the Party Charter and the Party's regulations and statutes, the Politburo issued Decision No. 2353-QDNS/TW dated September 15, 2025 of the Politburo on appointing the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Decision No. 2306-QDNS/TW dated September 6, 2025 of the Politburo on appointing the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Decision No. 2406-QDNS/TW dated September 26, 2025 of the Politburo on the mobilization, assignment and appointment to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, 60 comrades were appointed to participate in the Provincial Party Executive Committee and 18 comrades were appointed to participate in the Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed: The 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 is a political event of special importance, laying the foundation and orientation for a new development path for the Provincial Party Committee in the term 2025 - 2030 and the following terms, bringing Gia Lai province and the whole country firmly into a new era - an era of striving for development, prosperity, civilization and happiness of the nation.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the historic milestone of July 1, 2025, when Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces merged into Gia Lai province, has opened up a new development space, forming a new political-administrative-economic entity, not only large in scale, but also strong in competitiveness, with comprehensive growth potential, and the ability to deeply integrate into the national and global value chain. It is a combination of the heroic revolutionary tradition, with the cultural identity imbued with the soul of the Central Highlands, with the unique culture of the islands of the "Land of martial arts, Heaven of literature", and the will to overcome difficulties and the aspiration to break through and rise up. The Politburo and the Secretariat agreed on the main viewpoints, goals, targets, tasks and solutions, the pillars of growth, especially the breakthroughs identified in the draft Political Report.

To realize the aspiration of building Gia Lai province into a fairly developed province of the country, an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized a number of contents for the Congress to study and discuss:

Firstly, strengthen the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system in all aspects. This is a key task, of decisive significance for the rapid and sustainable development of the province. Focus on solidarity and unity within the Party and consensus among the people. Improve the quality of political and ideological work, especially protecting the Party's ideological foundation in cyberspace. Promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle, associated with strictly implementing the revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members to prevent and repel the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". Innovate the content and methods of mass mobilization work and the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Build a team of cadres with heart, vision, and aspiration to contribute, who dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility for the common good. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision and party discipline work, shifting the focus to preventing and warning of violations.

Second, focus on leading and directing the operation of the two-level local government apparatus to ensure smoothness, efficiency, effectiveness, and better service to the people and businesses. In particular, the commune level plays a particularly important role, being the level of government close to the people, directly managing, operating, and developing the local socio-economy. This is an important task, unique to this term, and lays the foundation for development in the following terms. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen monitoring, promptly detect bottlenecks, focus resources and synchronous solutions to remove them, especially unreasonable mechanisms and policies on decentralization, delegation of power, structure, payroll, and staff arrangement. Seriously and effectively implement documents and instructions of the Central Committee, especially Conclusion No. 195-KL/TW dated September 26, 2025 of the Politburo (on the situation and performance results of the political system apparatus and two-level local government).

Strongly promote the role of the People, associated with improving the quality and efficiency of the activities of People's Councils at all levels. Prepare well the conditions and resources to successfully organize the election of the 16th National Assembly and the election of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Third, prioritize all resources to lead and direct the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks, especially the double-digit growth target. Develop and implement the Gia Lai Provincial Planning for the period 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in an integrated and inter-regional direction. Synchronously invest in socio-economic infrastructure, especially connecting traffic infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and multi-purpose irrigation infrastructure. Develop ecological agriculture, high technology, large raw material areas associated with deep processing, clean production, and adaptation to climate change. Develop sustainable forestry economy. Develop semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy to become the center of renewable energy industry and digital industry of the region. Develop free trade zones, logistics centers associated with industrial parks, seaport systems, dry ports, and airports. Prioritize the development of tourism to become a spearhead, green, and sustainable economic sector.

Create breakthroughs in administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment, and enhance the provincial competitiveness index. Effectively implement the Central Government's strategic policies and decisions (especially the Politburo's resolutions on science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; innovation in law-making and enforcement; private economic development; breakthroughs in education and training development; breakthroughs in strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health; ensuring national energy security...).

Fourth, closely link the task of economic development with socio-cultural development and environmental protection. In particular, increase resources for cultural development, improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people, narrow the gap in cultural enjoyment between regions and between classes of people. Do a good job of preserving and developing the culture of ethnic minorities. Strengthen the development of education and training, vocational training, improve the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources. Improve the quality of grassroots health care and people's health care. Effectively implement policies and programs for job creation, social security, social welfare, and sustainable poverty reduction, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas. Pay special attention to environmental protection, management of exploitation and use of resources and minerals effectively and economically, ensuring ecological balance and water security.

Fifth, pay special attention to the tasks of national defense and security, maintain political stability, order and social safety. Build a national defense posture, a national defense posture associated with a people's security posture, a people's security foundation and a solid "people's hearts posture". Proactively and promptly detect and resolutely fight to defeat all plots of "peaceful evolution" and "riotous overthrow" by hostile forces and political opportunists. Grasp the ideological situation, promptly detect and handle issues related to ethnicity, religion, rural security, maritime security and border security from afar. Strengthen prevention and combat of all types of crimes and social evils. Do a good job of receiving people, handling petitions, complaints, denunciations and recommendations from citizens, and not allowing complicated mass complaints to occur, creating "hot spots" in the area.

Proactively and actively expand foreign relations and international cooperation. Participate in international programs and projects to attract investment, transfer technology, and effectively exploit new-generation free trade agreements. Promote investment, trade, and tourism promotion activities through foreign affairs events. Strengthen border exchange and cooperation programs with localities in Laos and Cambodia to develop border socio-economic areas and ensure border security.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia believes that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province will continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, uphold the spirit of creativity, the will of "self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, national pride", the aspiration to rise up, firmly overcome all difficulties and challenges, unite and successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, making Gia Lai a fairly developed province of the country, contributing to the overall development of the country in the new era, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people in the province.

Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army was assigned and appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
