The Steering Committee for Regional Defense Exercises of Nghe An province assigned the task of conducting combat exercises in Yen Trung commune.

On the afternoon of October 7, under the chairmanship of Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, the Steering Committee for the 2025 Nghe An Provincial Defense Exercise held a conference to assign combat exercises to Yen Trung commune in the defense area.

Attending the conference were heads of departments and agencies of the Provincial Military Command.

The exercise with the theme "Transferring communal armed forces to combat readiness states, transferring localities to defense states; organizing preparations and practicing defensive operations, protecting the area", will take place in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The exercise content includes 3 phases: Phase 1: Moving the communal armed forces into combat readiness states, moving the locality into defense states; Phase 2: Organizing preparations for defensive operations; Phase 3: Practicing operations.
To do a good job of preparing and organizing the Yen Trung commune exercise in the defense area in 2025 as a point for the entire Military Region to visit and learn from, Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan affirmed that this is one of the key contents to improve the quality of training and combat readiness, meeting the requirements of military and defense tasks in the new situation.

The exercise aims to test and evaluate the leadership and command capacity of the regional defense command and communes and wards, and is also an opportunity to train and improve the qualifications and bravery of officers and soldiers at all levels.
