Dong Nai: Homemade gun accidentally goes off, young man is shot through the abdomen

On July 25, Dinh Quan Regional General Hospital ( Dong Nai province) announced that the hospital had just successfully performed emergency surgery on a patient with a bullet piercing the abdomen.

The victim was T.D.G. (residing in Hamlet 1, Phu An Commune, Tan Phu District).

After emergency surgery, the patient was awake and responsive.

Previously, at around 9:30 p.m. on July 23, Mr. G. used a homemade gun for hunting and the gun accidentally went off, seriously injuring him and requiring him to be taken to the emergency room. The bullet penetrated his abdomen, puncturing four sections of his small intestine. The bullet went through his pelvis to the back of his buttocks and was in a difficult position, so it was not possible to remove it.

The patient is currently being monitored and treated and will undergo surgery to remove the bullet in the near future.
