Special art program "Under the glorious light"

On the evening of October 15, at the stage of Le Loi - Nguyen Hue Street (Saigon Ward), a special art program to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 with the theme "Under the glorious light" will take place solemnly and brilliantly, creating a highlight to welcome the important political event of the city and the whole country.

The program is directed by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, implemented by the City Arts Center, with the participation of many artists, actors, armed forces, students, children and professional and semi-professional art troupes.

The program was held simultaneously at three main stages: Saigon ward (HCMC), Binh Duong ward and Ba Ria ward, lasting nearly 90 minutes, gathering a strong performing force, demonstrating serious investment in content and art.

The artists participating in the performance include: People's Artist Huu Quoc, Meritorious Artist Van Khanh, Meritorious Artist Khanh Ngoc, Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, along with many singers, music groups, dance groups, symphony orchestras, choirs, children's art teams, soldiers of the City Command and Ho Chi Minh City Police. The combination of traditional and modern art, stage performances and light-visual projection technology will bring the audience an emotional artistic space.

The program consists of three chapters: “Forever Bright Belief”, “Bright City” and “Pride of Vietnam”. The opening part is a musical space filled with the red color of the Party flag and the national flag, recreating the glorious journey of 95 years of the Communist Party of Vietnam , 80 years of National Day and 50 years of national reunification. Revolutionary songs that have accompanied the years such as “The Party Flag”, “The Triumphal Song”, “Marching to Saigon”, “You are the belief in certain victory”, “The Party has given us spring”… are performed with a scale of choir, illustrated dance, fireworks and special stage effects.

Part two of the program takes the audience back to the lands closely associated with the development process of Ho Chi Minh City. Through the performances “City in the Heart”, “Binh Duong, a Love Song of the Countryside”, “Rise Up Ho Chi Minh City”, the image of a dynamic, creative land, connected in the same development entity is vividly and symbolically depicted.

Part three – “Proud of Vietnam” – opens up a space towards the sea, affirming the sovereignty and stature of the country, linking the Fatherland’s belief with the City named after Uncle Ho. The songs “Ho giong minh”, “Bay qua Bien Dong”, “Proud of Vietnam – Glory waiting for us”, “Aspiration for power” close the show in a brilliant atmosphere, full of belief and aspiration.

The show will end with a choir performance, fireworks lighting up the city sky, and the resounding song "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City" - a symbolic song of faith, solidarity and aspiration to rise of the city named after Uncle Ho.
