Package XL1 and XL2 - construction of the main expressway and bridge on the route has completed the treatment of weak soil, bored piles, is urgently spreading crushed stone, C19 asphalt concrete, and installing reinforced retaining walls. Rach Rich bridge alone has completed the substructure, is installing railings, and is preparing to complete the bridge deck. The disbursement rate to date has reached nearly 72% of the 2025 capital plan, ensuring the goal of basically completing the entire route in 2025 and opening to traffic in 2026.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to now, the medium and low voltage power relocation package has been constructed at 10/11 locations, reaching 51.29% of the output value; the high voltage power line relocation package has completed 18.75% of the volume, completed 8/8 test piles and 64/64 mass piles; many items such as asphalt concrete pavement, guardrail construction, separation, lighting system, cable trenches... are being accelerated.
Currently, some sections of the project have been temporarily opened to traffic such as: the section belonging to the XL3 package, the final intersection of the route belonging to the Km90+472 - Km91+568 segment and some sections passing through Ben Luc commune (belonging to component project 7 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Tay Ninh).
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, section through Ben Luc (Tay Ninh province), is 6.37km long, connecting to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. The total investment is 3,040 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2025, and put into operation from 2026. The design scale of the phased phase includes 4 lanes, 19.75m wide roadbed; the completed phase includes 8 lanes, 74.5m wide roadbed. The project will build 6 bridges, including: Tan Buu, Rach Rich, Song Hanh and Ngut Giao.
