Proactively respond to aviation security threats

On October 10, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security organized a scientific workshop on “Ensuring aviation security to meet requirements and tasks in the new situation”. With 64 articles and 18 opinions from experts and scientists, it contributed to clarifying the basic theoretical and practical issues of aviation security in the current situation.

Overview of the workshop

Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung affirmed that the workshop pointed out 7 issues that need continued attention in ensuring aviation security. In particular, it is necessary to identify aviation security as a part of national security, ensuring aviation security is an important task of ensuring national security, within a comprehensive and interconnected security posture, not only domestically but also internationally, requiring the drastic and synchronous participation of the entire political system, with the people's police force playing a core role.

At the same time, building a joint strategy in ensuring aviation security; proactively preventing and improving the capacity to respond to threats, terrorist situations, cyber attacks, activities causing public disorder, illegal interference in aviation activities, contributing to protecting national security and protecting the Fatherland in all situations. The task of state management of ensuring aviation security was previously managed by the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ).

After receiving this task, the Ministry of Public Security directed the development of a project and organized the implementation of aviation security activities. Currently, the state management of aviation security has been stable, disciplined, actively innovated, closely coordinated with other forces of the People's Public Security, synchronously deployed plans, measures, ensuring absolute safety of aviation infrastructure and flights, making an important contribution to serving the socio -economic development and international integration of the country.
