Việt Nam•16/07/2024The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has just announced that it has coordinated with Vietnam Airlines Corporation and accommodation establishments and travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City to launch a promotion program to encourage tourists and residents to use night-time economic services in Ho Chi Minh City as well as stimulate demand for tourists to use night flights.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Vietnam Airlines Corporation will coordinate and encourage tourist accommodation establishments in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in building stimulus packages, combining air tickets (some routes with reasonable and attractive prices with departure times before 6:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m.) through free or 80% discount for the first night (minimum stay of 3 nights).

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, by the end of the first week of July 2024, 16 tourist accommodation establishments in the city had registered to participate with a reduction of 20% to 100% of room rates for the first night according to the listed price, from the second night applying the listed price or a 60% reduction according to the listed price (depending on each unit, the policy and applicable conditions are regulated differently).
Dong Khanh Hotel offers a 100% discount on the first night's room rate for guests on night flights. The Myst Hotel offers a 49% discount on the first night's room rate, and a 53% discount from the second night, plus additional services including a breakfast buffet and a mini afternoon tea buffet. Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel offers a 45% discount on the first night's room rate and a free one-way airport shuttle on the day of check-out. Liberty Central Saigon Hotel System (including 3 locations: Riverside, Citypoint, and Centre) also offers a 50% discount on the first night's room rate. A25 Hotel System (including 6 locations) has created two promotional packages: Accommodation package with a 50% discount on the first night's room rate and a 20% discount for the second night, and accommodation package with a 70% discount on the first night's room rate and a 20% discount from the second night.

Based on the registration of the above 16 units, Vietnam Airlines Corporation will proactively contact and work to build combo packages including round-trip air tickets and two or three nights at hotels in the city to attract more tourists to Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
According to a survey by Vietnam Airlines Corporation, in order to meet the increasing travel demand of people during the peak summer season of 2024, airlines have made efforts to optimize their fleets, service personnel, and increase a series of night flights, thereby contributing to reducing airfare prices. However, in reality, night flights are not really attractive to passengers, many flights have to be canceled. Therefore, to attract passengers to night flights, cooperation from relevant parties is needed.
