
On September 8, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organized the draw and scheduled the matches of the Final Round of the National U17 Football Championship - Thai Son Nam Cup 2025.
This tournament is part of the national competition system organized annually by VFF, aiming to create conditions for training and professional competition for young players, at the same time helping clubs create resources for the future, as well as meeting the development model of modern football, in accordance with the international competition system of the World Football Federation (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Speaking at the press conference, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu emphasized: “The National U17 Tournament plays a particularly important role in the Vietnamese youth football training system. This is not only a playground for players aged 16-17 to accumulate competition experience, but also a place for clubs and youth football training centers to evaluate the training process, discover and nurture outstanding factors for the country's football.”
“This is also a particularly important basis for discovering young talents to prepare for the U17 men's team to participate in the U17 Asian qualifiers next November (held in Hanoi ) and this U17 final round is also the basis for preparing for the youth football tournament system in 2026,” Mr. Phu emphasized.

The final round of the National U17 Football Championship - Thai Son Nam Cup 2025 will witness the competition of 12 teams including: The Cong Viettel, Hanoi, Hanoi Police, PVF CAND, SLNA, Nam Dinh Blue Steel, LPBank HAGL, SHB Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City (Thong Nhat Sports Center), Ho Chi Minh City Football Club, An Giang and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the draw results, Group A includes Ho Chi Minh City Football Club, CAHN, Nam Dinh Steel Blue and SHB Da Nang. Group B includes Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, HAGL, Hanoi, SLNA. Group C includes Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, PVF-CAND and The Cong - Viettel.
The tournament will take place in Ba Ria, Ho Chi Minh City from September 13 to September 26. The teams will be divided into 3 groups A, B, C (4 teams/group), playing a round robin in each group to calculate points and rank. The three first-placed teams, three second-placed teams and two third-placed teams with better records in the three groups will compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
