On the morning of April 15, CEO Tim Cook walked around Hoan Kiem Lake, drank egg coffee and met many famous faces in the creative world in Vietnam such as KOL Duy Tham, My Linh, My Anh, rapper Suboi, director Phuong Vu and some technology CEOs.

Sharing with VTC News as one of the first people that the Apple CEO "chosen" to meet during this special visit, Duy Tham said " I was very happy, emotional, a little proud and a little nervous. Being able to talk privately and meet Tim Cook in Hanoi in person is still an experience that I still can't believe is real ."

To the technology community around the world , Tim Cook may be the powerful CEO of a multi-billion dollar corporation, the one who brought Apple to conquer countless new heights, but to Duy Tham, the American man in his 60s with a gentle smile, simple glasses and a polite polo shirt during his visit to the capital Hanoi, he is extremely familiar.

He said: " CEO Tim Cook is friendly and open, talking to him is like talking to a friend, very comfortable. When I suggested filming a video together, he was also very happy and excited to participate ."

The result of this very friendly meeting was proudly shared by Duy Tham on social media platforms. It was a TikTok video "transforming" into CEO Tim Cook right next to Hoan Kiem Lake, gaining 3.5 million views and more than 300,000 likes after only 9 hours of posting. A similar video on Facebook also went viral with nearly 13,000 interactions after only 2 hours of posting.

The fact that Apple CEO appeared in Vietnam and had a busy schedule of meetings with artists and content creators shows Apple's special interest in the Southeast Asian country. From the compliments for director Phuong Vu and his colleagues (extremely creative), developers Elsa Speak and CollaNote (great examples of the development of the developer community), or rappers (full of energy), it is easy to see that Apple not only considers Vietnam an ideal destination for its supply chain development plan, but also a promising playground for content creators.

Commenting on the Apple CEO's favoritism towards Vietnamese creatives, Duy Tham said: " I see this as a positive sign. From the perspective of a content creator and a technology enthusiast, the fact that big companies are paying more attention to the Vietnamese market will create many new opportunities, from opportunities for cooperation, product experiences to opportunities for the Vietnamese creative community to receive more attention.

As I said in the video with Mr. Tim Cook, this meeting is not only meaningful to me, but also meaningful to the entire content creation community in Vietnam ."

Apple CEO's trip to Vietnam comes shortly after billionaire Bill Gates visited Da Nang last month. In late 2023, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will also visit Vietnam, eat pho, drink coffee and pledge to "make Vietnam the second home" of the global chip manufacturing empire.

Commenting on Tim Cook's special visit to Hanoi, Benzinga also compared the effect he brought to a coffee shop in the capital with the "bun cha effect" that former US President Barack Obama and the late chef Anthony Bourdain created, further proving the cultural appeal of the S-shaped strip of land, especially in the context of the booming content creation industry here.

Duy Tham himself is probably one of the people who feels this new wave most clearly. "Starting" his career in content creation 8 years ago, the young content creator is now the "owner" of a YouTube channel with 2 million subscribers, TikTok with 7.6 million followers, Facebook with 1 million followers and countless videos with millions of views.
