Nearly 1,000 billion VND invested in forest tourism in Dong Nai

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee approved the eco-tourism project in Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve with 51 locations.

On the morning of January 25, Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve announced the project for Ecotourism, Resorts and Entertainment of Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve for the period 2021-2030, which was recently approved by the Provincial People's Committee. The outline and budget estimate for the project to develop ecotourism until 2030 in the reserve were approved by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in 2016.

According to the project's planning, there are 51 locations for organizing eco-tourism, resort, entertainment and service activities with a total investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND, of which 20 billion VND is from the state budget and 971 billion VND is the source of calling for investment.

The planning project has many places of interest to tourists such as Bau Hao Area, Chien Khu D, Tri An Lake and islands, Safari with many types of activities such as water sports , cycling under the forest canopy, camping by Tri An Lake, and animal watching.

Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve with a total area of ​​over 100,000 hectares belongs to the emergency ecological conservation sub-region, located in the Truong Son ecosystem, has diverse and rich natural and cultural tourism resources with many outstanding potentials in natural landscapes, historical and cultural heritage. Together with Cat Tien National Park, Bau Sau Ramsar, Tri An - Dong Nai Inland Water Reserve was recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve in 2012.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hao, Director of Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve, said the project is a legal basis and an important premise for the field of conservation and tourism development in the reserve, contributing to the development of tourism in the province.

"The conservation area publicly announced the tourism project to many individuals, businesses, and interested investors so that they could survey, develop ideas, and set up investment projects with the unit to create a breakthrough in tourism development," Mr. Hao said, adding that currently, many investors have expressed their desire to invest here.
