"I would like to sincerely thank readers of Dan Tri newspaper. Without your support, my family and I would not know what to do for treatment. With this money, I promise to use it to treat paralysis in my legs," Ms. Hien confided.
Ms. Hien added that her son is always at the hospital to take care of his mother because at home, his father has to take care of his younger siblings, his elderly grandfather, his blind grandmother, and he has to work to earn money to support the whole family.

"In the first days of the school year, taking advantage of not having formal classes, my child went with his mother to the hospital to take care of him. When the school year started and he returned to school, I had to ask for help from doctors and medical staff because of his hemiplegia, which requires long-term treatment," Ms. Hien added.
The incident happened to Duy’s family 6 years ago when Ms. Ngan Thi Hien had a high fever and headache 8 months after giving birth to her second child. Ms. Hien fell into a coma and was diagnosed by the doctor with encephalitis and meningitis.

With no money for treatment, Ms. Hien felt like she had reached a dead end in life. She was paralyzed on one side and had little means to go to the hospital for treatment.
Every time she goes to the hospital, her son, Duy, has to take time off from school to take care of his mother. "I just hope that my mother's legs will heal and she will be able to walk again so that my siblings and I can go to school more fully. I would like to thank everyone who has helped my mother during this difficult time," Duy shared.
