
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director of the General Statistics Office, all three economic sectors grew positively. Agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 3.74%, contributing 5.04% to the overall growth; industry and construction increased by 9.46%, accounting for 46.41%, of which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.98%, a bright spot; the service sector increased by 8.56%, contributing 48.55%.

In the first 9 months, the country's GDP increased by 7.85%, the second highest since 2011, only lower than the 9.44% of the same period in 2022. Of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 3.83%; industry and construction increased by 8.69%; services increased by 8.49%.
Despite being affected by natural disasters, the agricultural sector still maintained a stable growth rate thanks to timely response measures. The added value of the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector in the first nine months of 2025 increased by 3.83%, only lower than the growth rate of the same period in 2011, 2018 and 2021 in the period 2011-2025. Of which, the added value of the agricultural sector increased by 3.46% over the same period last year, contributing 3.52% to the total added value of the whole economy; the forestry sector increased by 6.46%, contributing 0.42%; the fishery sector increased by 4.48%, contributing 1.41%.

In the industrial and construction sector, production of many key industries increased, making important contributions to the overall growth of the entire economy.
The total added value of the entire industrial sector in the first 9 months of 2025 increased by 8.55% over the same period last year, contributing 35.06% to the growth rate of the total added value of the entire economy. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry was the growth driver with a growth rate of 9.92%[4], contributing 31.73%. The construction industry increased by 9.33%, contributing 7.99%.
In the service sector, the strong increase in demand for domestic goods, services and tourism , especially during the period of many activities celebrating major national holidays, has contributed positively to the growth of the trade and service sector. The added value of the service sector in the first nine months of 2025 increased by 8.49% over the same period last year, only lower than the increase of 11.37% in the same period in 2022 in the period 2011-2025.
The economic structure in the first nine months showed that services accounted for the largest proportion at 42.92%, industry and construction 37.58%, agriculture 11.3%. In terms of consumption, final consumption contributed 73.83% to growth, continuing to be the main driving force of the economy.
