Prices are stable, purchasing power increases on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month

From early September 6, many people were present at the traditional markets in Hanoi to buy offerings for the 15th of July. Prices of items for the 15th of July were stable compared to normal days.

From early morning, many people were present at Hang Be market (Hoan Kiem ward) to buy offerings to their ancestors.

The 15th day of the 7th lunar month is one of the important holidays in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people.

On this occasion, families often prepare offerings to express gratitude to their parents, grandparents, and deceased ancestors. Depending on the circumstances and needs of the family, prepare appropriate offerings.

Items such as chicken, sticky rice, flowers... are very popular on this day. The price of boiled chicken here ranges from 500,000 to 700,000 VND/chicken, roasted bird from 150,000 to 300,000 VND/chicken.

Ms. Hoang Phuong Lan (a merchant at No. 12 Gia Ngu Street) said: "The prices of items for the Full Moon Festival offerings this year are basically stable, only some flower and fruit items have increased slightly. Purchasing power on this day also increased slightly compared to normal days."

Each tray includes lotus, orchids, jasmine... priced from 150 to 300 thousand VND.

Sticky rice with gac fruit and sticky rice with vo cost from 25 to 35 thousand VND/plate.

Fruits are also in high demand, with prices increasing slightly by 5,000 - 10,000 VND/kg: mangoes cost 45,000 - 50,000 VND/kg, dragon fruit 30,000 - 40,000 VND/kg, and watermelons cost 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg.

Ready-made dishes such as: Soup costs 50 - 60 thousand VND/bowl, fried spring rolls cost from 100 - 120 thousand VND/box.

At Gia Lam market (Bo De ward), the atmosphere of shopping for offerings for the Full Moon Festival is also very bustling. Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan (a merchant) said: "These days, due to the high import prices, the prices of the flowers we sell have increased by 5 to 10 thousand VND/bunch, depending on the type and quality of the flower. The number of customers buying flowers has increased 2 to 3 times compared to normal days."

Chrysanthemum prices range from 35 to 40 thousand VND/bunch, roses range from 50 to 55 thousand VND/bunch.

Although purchasing power has increased, the price of ham and sausage has not increased compared to normal days.

Prices of goods are stable so it does not affect much the purchasing power of consumers on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month.
