Gia Lai: Tuy Phuoc Tay Farmers' Association affirms its core role in building new rural areas

DNVN - With the spirit of solidarity, innovation and aspiration for development, the Farmers' Association of Tuy Phuoc Tay commune (Gia Lai) is affirming its core role in building modern new rural areas, connecting farmers with businesses and transforming agriculture digitally.

On October 15-16, at the Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Cultural House ( Gia Lai ), the Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term, with the participation of 101 official delegates, representing more than 5,300 farmer members in the entire commune.

Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association was established on the basis of merging two Commune Farmers' Associations of Phuoc An and Phuoc Thanh, marking an important milestone, creating a new step in organizational structure and development potential. The Association has promptly advised on the completion and consolidation of branches and groups, ensuring unity, synchronization and effective operation.

The first Congress of Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association is a congress of "unity - democracy - innovation - development", with the task of evaluating the results of the association's work and the farmers' movement in the period 2023-2025, and at the same time setting out directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the term 2025-2030.

The political report presented at the congress stated that in the 2023-2025 period, the association's work and the farmers' movement achieved many outstanding results. Patriotic emulation movements, especially the movement of "farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty", were widely deployed, spreading the spirit of self-reliance and creativity in each member.

Many cooperative economic models and high-tech agricultural production have brought about clear results, contributing to shifting the structure of crops and livestock and creating more jobs and stable income for people.

The Congress agreed on many specific goals for the 2025-2030 term: 100% of members will be informed of the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies; admit 90 or more new members each year; and establish at least one professional association or branch each year.

Support the establishment of agricultural cooperatives and the development of production cooperatives; increase the farmer support fund by an average of 10% per year; have at least 70% of members equipped with digital knowledge and skills; mobilize members and farmers to establish businesses operating in the agricultural sector to achieve and exceed the targets assigned by the province.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Duy Vu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Party Committee, affirmed that the association work and farmers' movement are an important part of the political system.

“In the coming term, the Commune Farmers’ Association needs to continue to promote its core role in developing agriculture, farmers and rural areas. Proactively innovate production thinking, apply science and technology, and link with businesses to form sustainable value chains, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Party Congress”, Mr. Tran Duy Vu emphasized.

The Congress also announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association, Term I, consisting of 23 members; the Standing Committee of 7 members; the Standing Committee of the Association, consisting of 3 members (1 Chairman, 2 Vice Chairmen). Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ninh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association, Term I, 2025-2030.

In her closing speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ninh - Chairwoman of Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune Farmers' Association, affirmed that the success of the congress is a source of encouragement and motivation for cadres and farmer members of the whole commune to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, creativity, and join hands to build new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, contributing to enriching and beautifying Tuy Phuoc Tay homeland.
