Pepper price today, May 30, is in the range of 127,000 - 129,000 VND/kg. In Dak Lak province, pepper price today is purchased at 129,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, pepper price today is purchased at 128,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai province, pepper price today is at 127,000 VND/kg, an increase of 4,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Dong Nai , pepper price today is at 127,000 VND/kg, an increase of 4,000 VND/kg.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, pepper price today is at 128,000 VND/kg, an increase of 5,000 VND/kg. In Binh Phuoc province, pepper price today is purchased at 128,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 VND/kg.

Muntok white pepper price is 7,382 USD/ton, down 0.41%; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price remains at 7,300 USD/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper price is trading at 5,400 USD/ton for 500 g/l, up 11.11%; 550 g/l at 5,900 USD/ton, up 15.25%; white pepper price at 8,000 USD/ton, up 10%.

Durian price today, May 30, increased the most in the Southwest

The prices of Thai durian and Ri6 durian in the provinces of the Southwest region have been stable, from the selected type to the type bought in bulk. For Thai durian, the price of selected durian is stable, currently at 110,000 - 113,000 VND/kg. Similarly, the price of Thai durian purchased in bulk is also purchased by traders at the same level as yesterday morning, around 70,000 - 83,000 VND/kg.

Fruits flood the market, purchasing power increases

Surveying the Ho Chi Minh City market in the past 10 days, plums (sourced from the Northern provinces, mainly Son La) are sold in large quantities and prices are continuously decreasing. Currently, plum prices in the markets are only about 20,000 - 30,000 VND/kg, down more than 50% compared to the beginning of the season.

Right at Co.opmart Nguyen Dinh Chieu supermarket (District 3), the price of plum is only 29,900 VND/kg, applied from May 24 to June 1 while the original price is up to 70,900 VND/kg, so it attracts quite a lot of buyers.

Plum prices in the markets are only about 20,000 - 30,000 VND/kg, down more than 50% compared to the beginning of the season.

In addition to plums, all kinds of avocados, especially the 034 variety, are being flooded in the market, causing prices to drop more and more. Currently, this type of avocado is only sold at the retail price of 15,000 - 20,000 VND/kg at Ho Chi Minh City markets; in stores, it is sold at 30,000 - 50,000 VND/kg (larger size and full-meal) while in previous years, this type of avocado was priced at more than 100,000 VND/kg.

The owner of a fruit stall in an alley on Le Van Duyet Street (Binh Thanh District) said that the prices of fruits are very low because they are in season, and will increase again after a few weeks. Here, Musang King durian is sold for only 100,000 VND/kg while it normally costs several hundred thousand VND, red-fleshed jackfruit is 35,000 VND/kg, and Thai jackfruit is 20,000 VND/kg, down nearly 50% compared to a month ago.

Tomato prices rise sharply

At the beginning of the year, the price was still low, down to only 7 thousand VND/kg. At this time last month, they only bought each kilo of tomatoes for 15 thousand VND. Yet, in just a few days, the price of tomatoes has increased sharply.

Tomato prices rise sharply

Similarly, another consumer residing in Dong Da (Hanoi) said that previously with the same amount of money, she could buy a kilo of tomatoes, but these past few days, she had to buy 3 tomatoes as small as chicken eggs for 15,000 VND.

A week ago, I bought tomatoes at 35,000 VND/kg and thought it was too expensive. Today, the price of tomatoes is up to 40,000 VND/kg. Instead of buying a kilo to eat, I only bought a few because I felt sorry for the money.

Selling all kinds of green vegetables, but for about a week, vegetable vendors at Van Chuong market (Dong Da, Hanoi) said they did not dare import tomatoes to sell because they were too expensive.

The price of tomatoes at the wholesale market was 30-35 thousand VND/kg, she bought them and sold them for 40 thousand VND/kg but customers complained that it was expensive, picked them up and put them down without buying, customers only bought 1-2 tomatoes. Tomatoes brought home were easily bruised, crushed, and spoiled, if one tomato was spoiled in a kilo, she would have to pay a loss.

Walking around some traditional markets and supermarkets in Hanoi, tomatoes are being sold for 35-45 thousand VND/kg, an increase of 25-30 thousand VND/kg compared to the beginning of the year.

Growing 1.5 hectares of tomatoes in Duc Trong (Lam Dong), a farmer here said that last week, they harvested 4 tons of tomatoes and sold them for 35-43 thousand VND/kg. Last week, the price of tomatoes they sold was 40-43 thousand VND/kg in the garden, but this week, many Chinese tomatoes were imported, so the price dropped to 30 thousand VND/kg.

Red-fleshed jackfruit costs less than 30,000 VND/kg

At the end of last year, traders bought this type of jackfruit at the garden for more than 100,000 VND/kg. Now, the garden price is only 28,000 VND/kg.

Having just cut dozens of tons of red-fleshed jackfruit, a farmer (residing in Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province) said that the price this time has dropped to very low.

For grade 1 products for export, those are fruits with standard weight and beautiful round fruits, purchased at the garden for 28,000 VND/kg. For grade 2 products, the purchase price is only about 15,000 - 20,000 VND/kg. As for the crooked fruits, bad shape and appearance, these are called market products, the purchase price is only about 8,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

This price is down about 10,000 VND/kg compared to the same time last month. The price of red-fleshed jackfruit has decreased because in the Eastern and Western regions of our country, households have planted more massively, so the number of jackfruit harvested is also greater than in previous years.

Another farmer in Dong Nai said they also planted 200 red-fleshed jackfruit trees that have been harvested. Every day, they cut about several hundred kilograms of jackfruit to sell to traders.

At this time, their garden does not have much fruit left, only a few fruits left in the garden, the harvest this month will probably be gone. The price of jackfruit is much lower than last month. At the end of last month, they were still selling 40,000 - 50,000 VND/kg of grade 1 jackfruit, but this month they only sell 28,000 VND/kg.
