The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the greenback's movements against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), recorded 104.63 points. The greenback adjusted slightly in the context of falling US bond yields after data showed economic growth in the US at 1.3%, slower than the previously announced 1.6%.

The downgrade in first-quarter growth follows recent declines in retail sales and equipment spending, which have helped dampen bets on a Fed rate cut.

Several important economic reports are due this week. On Monday, markets will get the S&P global manufacturing PMI and the ISM manufacturing PMI for May. On Wednesday, the Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision, with forecasts suggesting a 0.25 basis point cut. On Thursday, the ECB will be revealed, with forecasts suggesting a 25 basis point cut to the benchmark, along with weekly jobless claims. On Friday, the US will release its May non -farm payrolls report.

According to experts, if both central banks cut interest rates as expected, combined with a disappointing May jobs report, the market could quickly recalculate the timing and scale of the Fed's interest rate easing roadmap.
