Meeting on internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption and religious work

On the afternoon of January 15, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired a conference to review internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and religious work in 2023; and deploy key tasks in 2024.

Attending the conference were comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices, the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform; leaders of agencies and units under the Internal Affairs sector; leaders of districts and cities.

In 2023, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee will focus on leading and directing all levels and sectors to effectively implement the Central's leadership documents on internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity, judicial reform, religious work and achieve comprehensive results.

Notably, the political security situation and social order and safety in the province are stable and maintained, especially during holidays, Tet, activities celebrating the 1055th anniversary of Dai Co Viet State, the 2nd Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival, and important national and international conferences.

Successfully organized the 2023 Provincial Defense Zone Exercise and completed district-level defense zone exercises and commune-level defense zone combat exercises during the term. The organization of judicial agencies continued to be consolidated and improved.

The quality of investigation, prosecution, trial, execution of sentences, arrest, detention and rehabilitation must comply with the law, preventing wrongful convictions and letting criminals escape. The effectiveness of public reception, complaint and denunciation settlement work has been enhanced. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been directed with attention, creating high consensus in society.

Party committees, Steering Committees for religious work, and People's Committees at all levels have focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's regulations on beliefs and religions; paid attention to developing Party members who are religious; created favorable conditions for religions, religious establishments, religious people, and people to practice beliefs and religions in accordance with the law.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved in internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and religious work in 2023; proposed tasks and solutions to better perform tasks in 2024.

Concluding the conference, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the results achieved in internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity, judicial reform, and religious work in 2023 have significantly contributed to creating a favorable environment for the province's socio -economic development.

To effectively implement the tasks in 2024, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that all levels and sectors focus on leading and directing the strengthening of national defense, local military , border work, maintaining political stability and social order and safety. Proactively grasp the situation, do a good job of internal political security, religious security, and worker security, and avoid being passive or surprised.

Promote the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; coordinate well between levels and sectors in receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations. Promote judicial reform, improve the quality of operations of prosecution agencies.

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Party committee leadership and State management of beliefs and religions; continue to pay attention to training and developing Party members who are religious; promptly consider and resolve, in accordance with regulations, legitimate requests from religious establishments.
