Thoroughly implementing the training motto of “Fundamental, practical, solid”, the Party Committee and the Regiment commanders focused on innovating leadership thinking, directing decisively and scientifically , concretizing it through annual thematic resolutions, clearly defining targets and solutions. Cadres and commanders at all levels directly went to the training grounds to train, attend lectures, inspect, promptly overcome limitations, and replicate effective models.

One of the breakthroughs that the unit focuses on is building a team of good training officers. Before training, the Regiment organizes comprehensive training, focusing on military pedagogy, command skills, tactical training, live-fire organization... for 100% of officers. Competitions and sports events for good training officers are regularly organized by the unit, focusing on limited content, thereby creating a competitive movement and being a measure of actual assessment. As a result, 100% of training officers meet the standards, of which more than 80% are good and excellent.

The Regiment conducts basic, practical, synchronous, specialized training, close to actual combat, especially in urban combat conditions - the characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City. The unit attaches importance to practical training, enhances field training, night training, and training in complex situations, in order to train the bravery, style, mobility and combat coordination of the troops. In addition, the Regiment has continuously promoted the spirit of self-study and self-training of each officer and soldier and promoted the application of information technology, promoted initiatives and technical improvements through sports events and competitions, building a team of officers with solid knowledge and good methods. Over the past three years, the Regiment has had 37 typical models, initiatives and technical improvements applied, contributing to improving the quality of training.

Along with military training, the unit also attaches this task to building a regular routine, training discipline, managing troops and training physical strength. Creative models such as "Three accompaniments of unit-family-locality", "Eight safety" program, "Three together, two before, two after"... are widely deployed, creating a united environment, encouraging the spirit of officers and soldiers to unite, compete to study well and train seriously.

From the training practice, the Regiment focuses on selecting units as models, modeling difficult content, new content, content with potential risks of insecurity. This is an effective measure, helping units learn from model models, access content faster, practice accurately, and ensure absolute safety. This method is being maintained effectively by the Regiment, creating positive changes in the entire unit, especially in the peak training phase to prepare for the exercise at the end of 2025. Along with that, the Regiment prepares well the model of teaching tools, realistic training equipment associated with the construction of training grounds, synchronous and standardized training areas. From the beginning of 2025, the unit has consolidated and built 4 AK submachine gun shooting training areas, 4 grenade throwing training areas, and 1 K16 obstacle course. Logistics and technical work always ensures synchronous and safe weapons and equipment; Increase production efficiency, maintain healthy population ratio above 98%.

With new spirit and high determination, from the beginning of 2025 until now, 100% of training results have met the requirements or more, with more than 75% good and excellent (more than 50% excellent). Officers and soldiers are determined to build a well-trained unit, with strict discipline, high combat readiness, firmly protecting the City named after Uncle Ho in all situations.
