The owner is satisfied, but the guests complain.
Recently, businessman "Shark" Binh brought nine trays of gifts from Ha Dong (Hanoi) to ask for actress Phuong Oanh's hand in marriage in Phu Ly ( Ha Nam ). At the actress's house, the engagement ceremony was invested in with a tent decorated with bamboo and lotus, which Phuong Oanh came up with the idea herself.
The engagement ceremony was prepared very elaborately by the family, but the way the wedding hall was decorated received many mixed opinions and comments.
With 8 years of experience in the wedding event organization industry, Ms. Do Thi Hong Anh ( Vinh Phuc ) always observes and learns to improve her unit's wedding hall to be more modern.

"Occupational disease", the viral images of the wedding backdrop and wedding tent at actress Phuong Oanh's engagement ceremony also caught Ms. Anh's attention.
Because, recently, she also decorated a wedding hall with white lotus flowers, using blue and white tones as requested by the bride. This wedding hall has many similarities with the wedding hall of the couple Phuong Oanh - Shark Binh.
"Last month, I also received a wedding decoration order for a bride who liked lotus flowers. After we came up with the idea and designed the model, the customer trusted us with the job.
I chose white lotus combined with green leaves and pink silk flowers to make the wedding space more sophisticated. The wedding space exudes white as the main color on a green background. Luckily, the customer was satisfied," Ms. Anh shared.
Normally, the wedding "season" will take place in the first or last months of the year (cold season). The wedding date is chosen by couples according to the lunar calendar, so in June, right in the middle of summer, Ms. Anh only accepts about 15 weddings. If it is the right wedding season, each month, the organizing unit has to "run" 30-40 wedding parties.
For a ceremony to be solemn and impressive, Ms. Anh's unit provides both home decoration services and restaurant and banquet venues... With home decoration, her team must prepare a tent, tables and chairs, stage backdrop, flower gate, "check-in" backdrop for taking photos, miniature table for guests to come to celebrate gifts, and decorate wedding photos.

In addition, if customers request additional decoration for the indoor space, wedding room with lights, fresh flowers, etc., the event organizer must also respond.
Ms. Hong Anh said: "Each family has different preferences and requirements. Therefore, the cost for each wedding hall is also different. Normally, the customers in the city that I receive will have to spend from 20-30 million VND. The most expensive wedding hall I have ever made is up to 500 million VND."
After the customer makes an appointment, the rental service and wedding hall design staff will come to survey the venue. The decoration ideas will be implemented based on the homeowner's request. Many families want elaborate decorations, using many items or fresh flowers, the cost will be higher.
During her years of tirelessly pursuing her passion for organizing weddings, Ms. Anh confidently said that most of her customers were satisfied and gave good feedback. However, she admitted that this was a job of "serving a hundred families".

"Sometimes it's not the host who has an opinion, but the guests, relatives, neighbors who come to the wedding... who criticize. In many cases, the criticism comes from people who don't have much experience in wedding decoration but participate quite harshly, forcing the host to change as well," Ms. Anh shared.
Working in the service industry, she also has to give advice and share with customers. For luxury weddings, she and her colleagues have to work hard to prepare and decorate for many days to be able to build a sparkling wedding tent. That is also why, during the "wedding season" months, she can earn hundreds of millions of dong in revenue.
Being cheated out of wedding theater payment... worth more than a tael of gold
The wedding service industry is increasingly flourishing and competition is fierce, forcing businesses and units to constantly innovate.
Ms. Lai Hang (Ba Dinh, Hanoi ) said that after 15 years of working in the profession, she has clearly seen the rapid changes in the way wedding halls are decorated. Every year, there are many new designs of curtains, vases, tables and chairs... launched. As for her family's wedding service shop, she has to spend 40-50 million VND per month on decorative flowers.
During her career, she still cannot forget the story of being cheated out of money for her wedding. It was supposed to be a big day for the family, everyone wanted the wedding to go smoothly and perfectly. Unexpectedly, in the middle of the capital, she encountered a "half-crying, half-laughing" story.

In 2018, she took on the job of making a wedding tent for a family in Ngoc Ha Ward, Ba Dinh District. A year before, she had also personally decorated the wedding of the family’s eldest son. This time, their second son was getting married.
All the family members and relatives live nearby. The family paid fairly for the wedding last year, so the second time, the service provider was lenient and did not ask for a deposit.
In addition to decorating the wedding hall and wedding backdrop, she also provides services with 7 engagement trays, 14 tray bearers, cyclo, wedding room decoration, Lexus car rental for the bride and 20 wedding banquets for the family.
The total cost of organizing that wedding was more than 36 million VND at that time, equivalent to more than 1 tael of gold. When it was finished, Ms. Hang called her mother-in-law to book the wedding but her number was blocked without her knowing.
When they arrived at the house, the relative informed them that the groom's parents had divorced and that the man had taken all the wedding money and run away. The bride and groom had no money left to pay the debt.

When Ms. Hang reported to the police, she discovered that this family had also received many other debt collection letters. Swallowing the bitter pill, the service provider had to not only decorate the wedding hall but also pay for the food they had ordered for the family.
This is also a lesson that helps her be more careful in the process of working. At this time, her company has continuously had customers asking and booking wedding tents at the end of the year. In fact, on some good days, she has received up to 22 weddings.
"At that time, our staff had to work at full capacity, from early morning to late at night. The wedding hall had to be spread out and set up many days in advance, waiting to be decorated later," Ms. Lai Hang shared.
