The first 'Vietnam Corner' at a major Russian supermarket chain

According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, on June 27, the first Vietnamese food stall called "Vietnam Corner" jointly operated by Vietnam's Masan Group and Russia's Magnit Group was opened and located at the Magnit Extra supermarket in Moscow, Russia.

Accordingly, more than 150 Vietnamese products including fresh and processed fruits, beverages, tea, coffee, fish sauce, dipping sauces, instant noodles and many other popular products have been introduced to Russian consumers.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Trade Representative in Russia, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and many Russian consumers attended the opening ceremony, enjoyed food and experienced consuming Vietnamese products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi emphasized that Russian consumers can now enjoy a wide variety of foods and use Vietnamese goods, from fruits, noodles, pho, snacks, packaged foods... to fresh foods such as seafood. The Ambassador expressed his hope that after today's opening ceremony, many Russians will come to Vietnam to relax and enjoy a variety of Vietnamese foods and goods.

Mr. Vladislava Bakhtenko, General Director of Grand Trading Company - the unit operating the "Vietnam Corner" project - emphasized the value of opening the first "Vietnam Corner" booth in Russia. According to Mr. Bakhtenko, this is not only a place to display products but also a space containing cultural power and spiritual emotions. Through the taste and familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine , Russians will better understand the country, traditions and spirit of Vietnam. Mr. Bakhtenko believes that today's "Vietnam Corner" is just the beginning and hopes to expand this model to other cities and regions of Russia.

For its part, a representative of Masan Group said that the opening of the “Vietnam corner” booth is a continuation of the journey of cultural exchange and business cooperation between Masan, Magnit and other Russian partners. Previously, on June 12, Masan and Russian partners opened the “Russia corner” booth in Vietnam to spread Russian culture and cuisine to Vietnamese consumers.

According to Masan’s representative, “Vietnam Corner” will be a space to bring Russian consumers closer to the rich and unique cuisine of Vietnam – the tropical paradise of Southeast Asia. Here, high-quality Vietnamese food and beverages will be introduced to spread and honor truly Vietnamese products, becoming a cultural bridge, contributing to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.
