Specifically, the retail price of Petrolimex gas cylinders (including VAT) in October 2025 in the Hanoi market is 409,600 VND/12 kg household cylinder; 1,638,200 VND/48 kg industrial cylinder, respectively decreasing by 7,800 VND/12 kg cylinder and 31,100 VND/48 kg cylinder (including VAT).
A representative of Petrolimex Gas Corporation said that the domestic gas price has decreased because the average world gas price contract for October was at 485 USD/ton, down 20 USD/ton compared to September, so the Gas Corporation has adjusted the reduction accordingly.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, gas prices have increased once, decreased six times and remained unchanged three times.
Gas prices in Vietnam currently still depend on world gas import prices because Vietnam has not yet met domestic consumption output.
Accordingly, gas price fluctuations in Vietnam depend on many factors such as: USD/VND exchange rate, gas transportation fees, business output; supply and demand fluctuations, import tax policies, value added tax, etc.
