According to Mr. Truong Van Tien, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Khanh Hoa province, the above event marks an important milestone in the process of restoring the Eastern European market, opening a new growth period for the province's tourism industry.

"This is a source of visitors with long stays and high spending. Restoring the Russian market and expanding to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan helps Khanh Hoa diversify its source of visitors, increasing the rate of international visitors to the province," said Mr. Truong Van Tien.

From October 2025, Nordwind Airlines will operate an average of 18-22 flights per month with an expected passenger count of about 6,800 passengers per month. The airline's flights will depart from eight Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Kazan, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk.

Currently, international flights to Cam Ranh airport maintain 33-34 flights/day, in which Korea and China continue to be the two main markets, contributing large and stable output. At the same time, there are about 30 flights from Russia to Cam Ranh every week, with 26 charter flights operated by Ikar Airlines, IreAero, Azur Air, RedWings and Vietjet Air, and 4 commercial flights by Aeroflot.
