On the evening of October 18 (October 19, Vietnam time), singer Ha Anh Tuan's Sketch a Rose performance took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles (USA). This is the cathedral of arts, where the annual Oscar awards ceremony takes place.
From the Esplanade Theatre (Singapore), the Sydney Opera House (Australia) and two concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and this time in the US, Ha Anh Tuan dreams of taking Vietnamese music to fly high.
Opening with Pham Duy, closing with Trinh Cong Son
"Singapore, Australia, and the US are all reasons for me to dream the common dream of Vietnamese music , to be raised high with pride and humanity in the vast world of humanity. I do not pursue my own musical dream to stay, but to live, to blend into my people wherever I am" - Ha Anh Tuan shared.
In America, he chose songs that have become a part of Vietnamese musical life for many generations, honoring Vietnamese musical monuments.

For me, wherever there are Vietnamese audiences, that is home." He is grateful to the previous authors who paved the way for Vietnamese music to enter the spiritual life of the nation.

In particular, they dedicated the song Foreign to overseas Vietnamese. These performances received enthusiastic responses from the audience with long applause.
The program includes nearly 30 Vietnamese songs, arranged by Ha Anh Tuan's close team: music director Nguyen Huu Vuong, conductor Tran Nhat Minh and more than 60 musicians from the Crystal Band, the Saigon Pops Orchestra and the Cadillac backing group; in addition, there is a brass band consisting of American artists working in California.

Thousands of rose petals from Vietnam to America
The concert had a rose theme with a "carpet" of tens of thousands of fabric roses and a giant rose with a diameter of more than 6m made of metal mesh right in the middle of the stage. Thousands of fabric rose petals were transported from Vietnam to cover the entire stage.
Director Cao Trung Hieu and his crew spent more than 2 months from idea to implementation, being meticulous in every step.
