Hanoi won first place overall at the national excellent youth chess championship

On July 27, the 2025 National Youth Chess Championship - Greenbia Kidmore Cup concluded in Hai Phong, through which experts assessed many players as having good skills in the competition categories including rapid chess, blitz chess, standard chess and super blitz chess. The Hanoi delegation excellently won the first place overall with 26 gold medals (HCV), 16 silver medals (HCB), 48 bronze medals (HCĐ).

Some of the gold medal results of Hanoi chess in standard chess came from the achievements of players Nguyen Tran Gia Vuong (U7 male), Pham Xuan An (U8 male), Nguyen Xuan Phuong (U10 male), Nguyen Vuong Tung Lan (U15 male), Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa (U10 female), Nguyen Binh Vy (U17 female).

In addition, the young players of Ho Chi Minh City continued to compete outstandingly, occupying the No. 1 position on the scoreboard of the standard chess content. In this important content, the young players of Ho Chi Minh City won 8 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals. In the end, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation ranked second with 24 gold medals, 20 silver medals, and 48 bronze medals.

Another result that experts paid attention to in the standard chess competition was the gold medal of Nguyen Le Cam Hien ( Quang Ninh ) at the U20 women's table. This once famous face of Vietnamese youth chess achieved a total of 4 points after 5 matches to rank number 1.

Da Nang team ranked 3rd (5 gold medals, 10 silver medals, 6 bronze medals), Hai Phong ranked 4th, Nghe An ranked 5th overall.

The 2025 National Youth Chess Championship attracted 443 players from 36 teams from all over the country. Players competed for 80 sets of medals in 10 male age groups and 10 female age groups.
