More than 1,000 players compete in the EChess Open Cup 2025 online chess tournament

Players register online through the general registration link, from there join the community group divided into groups according to their respective age. After determining the number of players participating in each group, players will be randomly paired to ensure the fairness of the tournament.

The online competition will require proactive equipment, logging into the Tornelo account and being present at the competition venue 30 minutes before 8:00 on September 21 to check-in before the competition.

The implementation of two forms of online and online competition concentrated on the Tornelo competition platform is a unique mark of the EChess Open Cup. Online competition in general creates conditions for players across the country to participate in competitions and exchanges, without age limits or geographical location limits, so athletes do not need to travel far, reducing travel and accommodation costs.

The appearance of centralized competition points is one of the important innovations of the tournament, demonstrating the desire of FPT Play and the Vietnam Chess Federation to improve the quality of organization, expand participation opportunities and reduce barriers for players from many localities.

EChess Open Cup - The tournament is organized by FPT Play in collaboration with the Vietnam Chess Federation (VCF) and will take place from September 21 to 28, 2025 on a national scale, divided into 7 groups (open groups with no age limit and groups for players from U7 to U14) with two rounds of competition: group stage and final round.

The total prize value is up to 25 million VND per table, including separate prizes for female athletes. According to the Organizing Committee, after just over a day of opening registration, the tournament has recorded more than 1,000 registered athletes.

In Hanoi : Trung Nguyen Legend, 17T2 Hoang Dao Thuy Street, Cau Giay, Hanoi.

In Hai Phong : FPT Telecom Building, Bui Vien Street, Le Chan Ward, Hai Phong.

In Bac Giang: Fschool Bac Giang, Nguyen Van Linh Street, Southern Urban Area, Bac Giang Ward, Bac Ninh.

In Hue: Fschool, Lot TH12, An Van Duong Urban Area, Thanh Thuy Ward, Hue City.
