Previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of wards, communes, and affiliated schools about proactively responding to storm No. 10 Bualoi.
The Department requested the People's Committees of wards and communes to direct educational institutions; heads of affiliated units and schools to regularly monitor weather and natural disaster forecasts to proactively prevent, respond to and overcome consequences.
Based on weather and natural disaster situations, schools proactively review, prepare plans, and deploy response plans according to the "4 on-site" motto suitable to school conditions.
Check the tree system in the school campus, if you find any old trees that are at risk of breaking or falling, you must report it for timely handling. If you cannot do it immediately, you must warn of the danger and contact a professional agency for the earliest handling.
In addition, it is necessary to have a plan to move assets, equipment, and documents to a safe place to avoid damage, loss, and limit damage caused by storms.
Educational units and facilities in the storm-hit areas with boarding students need to closely manage their students. The movement of students must be closely coordinated between the school and the family according to the plan and direction of the local authorities, ensuring absolute safety. At the same time, prepare enough drinking water, food, and provisions to ensure the living needs of students staying at school during the storm.
Educational units and facilities affected by storms and floods, where students cannot go to school to study and live, need to proactively develop appropriate learning plans and methods.
Actively clean and sanitize schools immediately after storms to ensure safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention.
The Department also requires absolutely not to organize extracurricular activities, collective activities, especially in places with risk of flooding and landslides. Establish an information channel with parents to manage students when participating in local activities, minimizing the risks that may occur due to storms.
