Held for the first time in 2021, after 3 years of organization, the Program to Honor Agricultural Products of Quang Ninh Province has not only contributed to increasing the value of agricultural products, but also created a driving force to promote cooperatives, production households, and enterprises to constantly innovate, improve and expand consumption markets.

MAT Ocean Oyster Intestines of Tat Thanh Seafood Joint Stock Company (Lien Hoa Ward) is one of the products participating in the evaluation of agricultural products of Quang Ninh province in 2025. Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Director of the Company, said: To prepare for this journey, in previous years, the enterprise has invested in a system of modern machinery such as Ecoli sterilization aerators to help eliminate harmful bacteria on food and Map technology packaging machines to help preserve fresh food longer, maintain quality and food safety. Currently, the product has been certified with 3-star OCOP, has been certified to meet food safety conditions and has stable output in major markets such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with a consumption output of about 150 tons, revenue reaching 5 billion VND.

This year, Viet Hung Agriculture - Forestry - Fishery Cooperative (Hoanh Bo ward) has 3 products submitted to the program to evaluate typical agricultural products of Quang Ninh province: Hoanh Bo guava, Hoanh Bo guava wine and Hoanh Bo upland rice. These products of the Cooperative have all been certified with 3-star OCOP and HACCP CODE:2003 certificate in 2022. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Ha, Director of Viet Hung Agriculture - Forestry - Fishery Cooperative, said: The Cooperative currently has 7 products, mainly agricultural products. Participating in the evaluation of agricultural products this year, the Cooperative has selected 3 products with the strongest strengths. Regarding Hoanh Bo guava, we are currently cooperating with about 60 households growing guava in the area with a cultivation area of ​​about 15 hectares, focusing on organic production. As for upland rice, the Cooperative is maintaining cultivation on an area of ​​50 hectares with an output of about 25 tons/crop/year. These are also the input materials for the production of Hoanh Bo guava wine. In addition to investing in quality, the Cooperative also focuses on developing designs, packaging, and traceability stamps for each product to ensure that they meet the needs and tastes of consumers. We expect that the Cooperative's products will be honored as typical agricultural products of the province this year. This will be an opportunity for the Cooperative to expand its market and affirm the brand of local specialties.

Not only focusing on quality, the products of Viet Hung Agriculture - Forestry - Fishery (Hoanh Bo ward) also pay attention to packaging and design to ensure the criteria for evaluating typical agricultural products.

In order to have products that meet the honor standards, since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Farmers' Association has developed a plan and disseminated it to each association; promoted communication to attract a large number of members and farmers in the province to participate. Through the implementation, the Organizing Committee has received 62 registered products from 34 groups and individuals in the province. Of which, 56 products have complete evaluation documents. The products focus on the fields of cultivation, livestock and poultry farming, aquaculture, agricultural products, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hanh, Chairwoman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said: The selection process is carried out publicly and transparently by the Organizing Committee. Typical agricultural products of Quang Ninh must meet the criteria clearly specified in the Selection Regulations issued by the Provincial Farmers' Association. These include the following contents: Must be a key local product, of high quality; have high social value, uniqueness, sustainable development, and be environmentally friendly; have certifications (food safety certification or equivalent, trademark certification, OCOP product certification); do not violate intellectual property rights, are not counterfeit or fake goods; have packaging, labels, traceability stamps, etc.

The Provincial Farmers' Association organized a Council to score and vote for typical agricultural products of Quang Ninh in 2025.

The Provincial Farmers' Association wants to continue to encourage farmers and cooperatives to produce in a modern, safe and sustainable direction through the Program to honor typical agricultural products.
