According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, up to now, the testing sites have ensured the required facilities such as arranging an area to store personal belongings, documents and prohibited items at least 25 meters away from the testing room; the medical room is equipped with supplies, beds, and a list of medicines according to regulations...
Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said: "Preparations for the exam have been carried out thoroughly. Due to the hot weather, at each exam session, the exam room must ensure cool air, enough fans and air conditioning, creating a comfortable atmosphere for the candidates."
In addition, the Examination Council also prepares plans for unexpected situations such as candidates having an accident, being unable to travel to the examination site or candidates being unable to write by themselves. In this case, the candidate must report to the Head of the examination site, the Head of the examination site will ask for the opinion of the Examination Council and the Steering Committee, then the Steering Committee will have a plan to assign someone to assist the candidate.
This year, the city has about 116,000 candidates registered for the exam (both specialized and non-specialized). Hanoi arranged 201 exam sites, mobilized 20,000 officers and teachers to invigilate and grade exams, more than 1,000 police officers and soldiers to protect the exam area, and more than 500 officers to inspect and check all stages of the exam.
Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) also said that it will not cut power on the high, medium, and low voltage grids throughout the city during the exam preparation period and the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year, from June 9 to 13.
The Corporation provides stable and continuous power supply at exam-related locations as required by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, including: the Ministry of Education and Training , the Department of Education and Training, locations serving the exam council, the exam marking board, the exam printing and copying service locations, and exam review locations.
In addition, the company has established a power supply plan with 2 grid sources or a backup plan with generators, combined with checking power lines and transformer stations supplying power to exam locations. If any location does not meet operational requirements, it needs to be repaired and fixed.
In fact, in recent days, many localities in the North have had to undergo rotating power cuts due to power shortages. The power cuts do not only last for 1-2 hours but sometimes last for half a day. The power cuts make it difficult for students to study for exams, especially when many places have sudden power cuts.
