Thousands of people gathered to watch the hot air balloon release on National Day.

The hot air balloon release program takes place from 6am - 9am and 4:30pm - 6:30pm on September 2nd - 3rd. From 7pm - 9pm each day will be the hot air balloon flower lantern night. Unlike last year, this year's hot air balloon release program does not raise the national flag. Instead, a hot air balloon printed with the national flag, 18m high and 14m in diameter, is the highlight of this year's program.

This is a program assigned by the HCM City People's Committee to the Department of Culture and Sports to be responsible for implementation, with capital mobilized from social sources.

Also within the framework of the program to celebrate National Day September 2, other cultural, artistic and sports activities also take place such as: Sports performance at 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. on September 2, at the pedestrian area of ​​Nguyen Hue Street (from Ton That Thiep Street to Huynh Thuc Khang Street); Art program from 7:30 p.m. - 10:15 p.m. on September 2, at the pedestrian area of ​​Nguyen Hue Street (intersection with Ngo Duc Ke Street); Organizing high-altitude fireworks display at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City) and low-altitude fireworks display at Dam Sen Cultural Park (Ward 3, District 11).
