No provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam for the 2025-2026 school year

The Department of Education and Training has just sent a document to the People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones, and secondary schools announcing that it will not organize the provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam in the 2025-2026 school year.

The document stated that on September 12, the Department of Education and Training issued an official dispatch guiding the implementation of general education tasks at primary and secondary levels in the 2025-2026 school year, including a plan to organize a provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam in December 2025. However, after the province's merger, secondary schools have changed a lot, the size of schools and classes, and the distribution area is wide and uneven in communes and wards. After consulting with schools, the Department of Education and Training found that the priority task at educational institutions this school year is to stabilize the organization, arrange the apparatus, and organize mass teaching and learning that needs to be focused on and put into operation in a systematic manner. Therefore, the department will not organize a provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam as previously planned.
