Hundreds of foreigners participate in the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam 2024"

581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad and thousands of Vietnamese authors participated in the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024". The contest arouses the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy nation; promote cultural values ​​and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

The photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" has just ended and will be awarded in the next few days. The contest creates an opportunity for people across the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends to express their love for their homeland and country and their enthusiasm in creating photos and videos to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world , arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy nation; promoting cultural values ​​and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

After nearly 7 months of launching the Contest, from March to October 2024, the Contest attracted a total of 6,863 authors with 10,327 photo and video works. Among the participating authors, there were 581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad with nearly 1,000 works and more than 50% of the authors had participated in the Contest in 2023. After many days of serious and impartial work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 videos and 150 best photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded, with a total prize value of up to nearly 400 million VND. Each work is an interesting story, an impressive moment or a meaningful message about love for the homeland, country, with pride, love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life across the S-shaped strip of land of Vietnam. After the Award Ceremony, the selected works will continue to be exhibited at home and abroad, serving the communication and promotion of Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in 2025. This is the second year the Contest has been held. The Contest is a vivid demonstration of the deep concern and consistent policy of our Party and State for taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people, taking the people as the center, in the spirit of "leaving no one behind" and creating all favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, promote their capacity and intelligence in the cause of building, developing, protecting the Fatherland and international integration of the country. The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition and the Award Announcement of the Competition will take place on the evening of December 11 at the Hanoi Opera House, will be broadcast live on VTV4 Foreign Television Channel of Vietnam Television, livestreamed on VTV Digital channel and on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform (https://vietnam.vn).
