Coast Guard Region 3 Command organizes a survey team to survey sea and island areas.

(NLDO) - The working trip aims to grasp the situation of sea and island areas; to propagate and inspect compliance with legal regulations on preventing and combating IUU fishing.

On the morning of October 7, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 coordinated with Dong Thap , Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City provinces to organize a working group to survey and grasp the situation of coastal seas and islands in 2025 (seas from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long province).

Colonel Cao Xuan Quan, Deputy Political Commissar, Command of Coast Guard Region 3, led the working delegation.

The delegation of Ho Chi Minh City and other localities sent gifts to the delegation to survey and grasp the situation of coastal seas and islands.

The mission aims to grasp the situation of sea and island areas; combine inspection and control of means of transport at sea to grasp compliance with the law on maritime activities and transport of goods at sea areas; propagate inspection from fishing vessels on compliance with legal regulations on preventing and combating IUU fishing on the vessel's route; present national flags and necessities to fishermen.

Accompanying the working delegation, in addition to officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 3, there were also leaders of several departments and branches of Dong Thap, Vinh Long , Ho Chi Minh City and reporters from several press agencies.

According to the plan, the working trip will last 3 days, from October 7 to 9. In addition to surveying and understanding the situation of the sea and coastal islands, the working delegation will also pay courtesy visits to the Party Committee and authorities of Con Dao Special Zone; visit and present gifts to the Party Committee, authorities, military and people of Con Dao Special Zone, armed forces on the island, policy families, disadvantaged students and fishermen on the island; visit and introduce the Con Dao Historical Relic Site.

On October 7, the ship will leave the port of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command on a journey to Cua Dinh An (Vinh Long province) to survey and grasp the situation in the areas of Cua Soai Rap, Cua Tieu, Cua Dai, Cua Ham Luong, Cua Cung Hau, and Cua Dinh An.
