Although delighted with the result, the Portuguese tactician quickly turned his attention to the next challenge: “Today was a good day, but now I am worried about Brighton. I have a year of experience and I am not stupid. I have to enjoy this moment, but I will focus on Brighton.”

Asked if this win could change the course of the season and cement his position, Amorim replied: “It will definitely give us great confidence for the rest of the week. It will also give the fans great joy, which they deserve after the disappointing results against Grimsby and Brentford. A win like this is really important.”
