Hoa Thuan promotes comprehensive agricultural restructuring

On August 24 and 25, the Hoa Thuan Commune Party Committee (An Giang province) held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee to appoint the Party Executive Committee of Hoa Thuan commune consisting of 26 comrades, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee of 8 comrades. Comrade Tran Van Thanh was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Hong Tham suggested that in the new term, Hoa Thuan Party Committee continue to perfect the synchronous planning system, associated with long-term development orientation.

Promote comprehensive agricultural restructuring, linking high-quality rice production with livestock, fruit trees and eco-tourism; increase mobilization and diversify resources to invest in economic and social infrastructure; pay attention to social security, vocational training, job creation, and strive for sustainable poverty reduction.

At the same time, the commune needs to focus on digital transformation in management, administration, and building a digital government to serve the people more effectively; maintain national defense and security, build a "drug-free" commune, and create a safe and healthy environment for development.

The Congress passed a Resolution with the following goals: By 2030, strive to achieve an average income per capita of 80 million VND/year; reduce the multidimensional poverty rate to below 2%; achieve over 95% of people participating in health insurance; achieve over 78% of trained workers; annually mobilize to build at least 10 Great Solidarity houses; 90% of residential houses meet the "3 hard" standards...
