All night rescue

Groups of people urgently supported each other in moving things from low-lying areas to high-lying areas and evacuating the elderly and children to safety in the dark night. With the solidarity of neighbors, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, local militia and Regiment 12, Division 3, Military Region 1 stood side by side to support people in the flooded area to overcome difficulties.

Humanity in flood areas
In times of trouble, the spirit of community solidarity shines brighter than ever. In times of difficulty, no one tells anyone and is not afraid of danger, ready to help those in more difficult circumstances to overcome the flood together.
Mr. Nguyen Phong, a resident living on Provincial Road 242, Cau 10 area, Huu Lung commune, said: Throughout the night of October 7 and early morning of October 8, households living along Provincial Road 242 stayed up all night to help each other evacuate people and property to safe areas. Each person rescued, each item preserved from the flood is a joy for the entire community here.
Not only Mr. Phong's family, many other households also supported the rescue efforts according to their conditions by doing practical things such as giving bottles of drinking water and cooking instant noodles for the rescue team and for the families who were stuck in the floodwaters for many hours.
At the same time, the agencies and units stationed in the area also stayed up all night to stand side by side with the people. Mr. Bui Dinh Khoa, Director of Viettel Lang Son, was directly present at the hot spot from the night of October 7 to the early morning of October 8, in Huu Lung commune, and said: "To support the people, we have prepared more than 100 liters of gasoline to run the generator to support rescue and prepared many types of phone chargers for people to charge for free, maintaining contact with relatives."
At the Huu Lung Water Supply Branch of Lang Son Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company, all branch staff actively supported people to overcome difficulties caused by floods; supported 4 families deeply flooded with temporary accommodation at the branch headquarters; and prepared necessities for families that had to evacuate.
The image of young people, police officers and soldiers, not afraid of danger, participating in rescue, bringing each person trapped in floodwaters, carrying each bag of rice to safety, created a touching picture of the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and unity between the army and the people. At the same time, the provincial Party Committee and government also focused on closely directing, arranging enough necessities, organizing rescue forces to rescue those trapped in the flood area in a timely manner and preparing conditions to restore production for people after the flood.
Currently, the water level on the Trung and Bac Giang rivers is still complicated, especially the Trung river, where the water level has not shown any signs of decreasing. In this situation, rescue forces, relevant departments and branches continue to concentrate on mobilizing resources to support people, preparing conditions for production recovery, ensuring environmental sanitation when the water recedes, and stabilizing people's lives soon.
